Our third LAH project recently began in Leith’s Citadel Community Garden. At this site, one of our LAH sessions is exclusively a women’s group with the view to provide women who are over 50 and out of work with a space to improve their confidence and skills in joinery. The group has been tasked with building an usual triangular shaped timber shed to slot into an unused space in the garden. Although the project started in late March, we’re pleased to have a team of seven participants ready to go, but foundations must be built before we can get onto the fun bit of building the timber!
