The Wardieburn Community Backgreen project resulted in the construction of one site which created 11 new growing spaces, unfortunately we were unable to move on to complete the second site.

Wardieburn Backgreens Site Start

After a long wait. Work has finally started on site with the first of two community food growing projects in Wardieburn (Edinburgh). The project is being delivered by Re:Solution, in partnership with Premier 1, (Edinburgh Council’s term contractor for landscaping).
Funding Confirmed For Wester Hailes Edible Estates Project

We’re really pleased to announce that the Wester Hailes Edible Estate project has received the funding go-ahead from the Climate Challenge Fund. Climate Challenge Funding for Wester Hailes Edible Estates

The Scottish Governments Climate Challenge Fund have approved £290,000 funding for the Wester Hailes Edible Estates project. This will support the construction of Estate Growing Hubs at two estates and healthy eating programme during 2013/15.
