Beginner Growers Sessions offer local people in Wester Hailes the chance to get involved in one of their community gardens, particularly those who are unsure how to get started growing their own produce. Supported by our Community Gardener Steven Pike, growers will learn everything they need to know, from identifying the type of soil they’re working with, to learning how to grow, manage, propagate, protect, harvest and store their crops – as well as all the tools and materials they’ll need along the way.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for members of the community to get outdoors, meet one another and work collaboratively to develop their gardening skills and grow some local fruit & vegetables.
