Gorgie Dalry Home Grown

Gorgie Dalry Home Grown is a project of Edible Estates to support folk to grow vegetables at home whilst their locked down by Covid 19.  The project is being delivered by our community gardener Iain Withers with the support of our project partners and volunteers.

We will provide households with a Home Grown starter pack, containing seeds, compost and pots.   To receive a starter pack, fill in the form on the right, indicating what kinds of growing space you have available to you.   Our community gardeners will give instructions and advice through our Facebook Page and a Group.   They will publish a series of videos, and answer questions for those who join the Facebook Group.  We also encourage more experienced growers to join the project to share their knowledge and inspire us with their own growing at home.

!!!!!!  Please note !!!!!!

We have paused the delivery and pick up of starter packs until we can raise more funds.  Please fill in the form so we have your contact details, we will email you if we restart the packs.  Please do not donate at this time.

Starter Packs & Pick Up Point

To receive a starter pack, fill in the form on the right and  join the Home Grown Facebook Group.  We have partnered with the Love Gorgie Farm, to provide a Pick Up Point for the Starter Packs.  Once you have filled in the request form, we will get in touch to let you know the time and day for pick up.  We will be following guidelines of social distancing etc to keep folk safe.

If you are unable to pick up, please indicate on the form and we will look to deliver the pack to you if we are able, we can’t guarantee to do so.

Facebook Group

To participate you need to join the Gorgie Dalry Home Grown Facebook Group – www.facebook.com/groups/GorgieDalryHomegrown

We’d also recommend following the Facebook Page for Gorgie Dalry Growers, we will be posting information there about other community greenspace projects as we come out of the Covid lockdown – www.facebook.com/GorgieDalryGrowers

Donations

The project is only partly funded, so we welcome donations to support Home Grown in Gorgie Dalry.  More funds will also allow us to deliver more starter packs, helping more people.

Gorgie Dalry Home Grown is supported by Health All Round, Love Gorgie Farm and Edible Estates CIC.
