After a long wait.  Work has finally started on site with the first of two community food growing projects in Wardieburn (Edinburgh).  The project is being delivered by Re:Solution, in partnership with Premier 1, (Edinburgh Council’s term contractor for landscaping).

We’re really pleased to announce that the Wester Hailes Edible Estate project has received the funding go-ahead from the Climate Challenge Fund.  They have approved £290,000 to support the development of community food growing projects in two estates (Calders, and Murrayburn/Hailesland/Dumbryden), in the South West of Edinburgh.  The project will start in April 2013, and continue to March 2015.  The …
